This is an adapter that can be used to install a Thule Lift bike rack on a pre-mounted Thule Bottom Mounting Rail. For instance, on Swift vehicles, the Thule Top and Bottom mounting rails come pre-installed. However, the bottom mounting rails are not compatible with the Thule Lift or Thule Lift V16 bike racks. It's worth noting that the top mounting rail does not require an adapter as it is compatible with the Thule Lift and the Thule Lift V16 bike racks.
